Stickley Law, under the leadership of Albert "AJ" Stickley, has a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and specializes in representing individuals across Southwest Florida. AJ's passion for law and protecting his client’s rights is evident in his enthusiastic approach to every case.
AJ is a graduate of Lemon Bay High School and was raised in Englewood, Florida. He completed his higher education at Florida State University, earning a double major in Business and International Affairs. In 2007, he completed his law degree at Thomas M. Cooley School of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar shortly thereafter in 2008.
While in Law School, AJ worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the Public Defender within the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, Florida. After completing his internship, AJ was offered an Assistant Public Defender role. From 2009 to 2013, AJ served as an Assistant State Attorney in Sarasota County, Florida, within the 12th Judicial Circuit.
After AJ’s tenure as an Assistant State Attorney’s office, AJ opened up Stickley Law in September 2013, focusing on estate planning, trust and probate administration, and elder law affairs.
AJ is happily married to his wife, Chelsea. Together, they have three lovely children. In addition to their children, they also have a furry four-legged companion named Waffles. If you ever visit the office, you might come across Waffles. Don’t forget to bring a treat for him!
